Winter might seem like a time when nature takes a break, but there are several resilient flowers that thrive in the cold months. These winter bloomers bring color and life to gardens and landscapes when most other plants are dormant. The flowers come in a variety of colors, from bright and vibrant hues like red and pink to more subtle and understated tones like white and cream.
Some popular winter-blooming flowers include pansies, hellebores, camellias, and winter jasmine. This article will go over some of my favorite Winter flowers to grow, but be aware that there are more! If you have to prioritize space (like I do) you’ll find that most of these flowers serve multiple purposes and are therefore great additions to small gardens.
